Having a problem with Blackberry email and a redirect page. Situation: A link is sent in an email to a Blackberry. The link is to a redirect page (html/javascript) that determines whether the person is coming from a Blackberry browser or a regular browser and then uses window.location.replace to redirect to a browser specific page. Problem: when clicking the link in the Blackberry, the window.location.replace does not work. The redirect page still shows up in the the Blackberry browser history. Thus, if you hit the 'back' button in the Blackberry, you keep getting bounced to the redirect page (and can never get back to your Blackberry email). (If you open the Blackberry browser first and then manually type the redirect page in, everything works fine. It's the Blackberry email that seems to be the culprit by putting that redirect page in the browser history). | |
