Question ID: 764516
I am current VZW customer in the US and am looking for specific
instructions and validated success of using a PDA/Smartphone with MS
operatiing system and BlackBerry Connect software. I realize that
this configuration is not currently supported by VZW, but understand
that it is possible.

My company supports a Blackberry Enterprise server and I will
subscribe to a VZW blackberry data plan. I need to know how to obtain
the BBC software for any specified PDA/Smartphone, How to load the
software, how to obtain necessary Blackberry PIN, etc to have the
device recognized by VZW.

I am also willing to switch to T-mobile as a cellular carrier if necessary.

many Thanx if ya can help out.
Cheers,
Tom

Additional Background:
I would like to purchase a new Smartphone/Pocket PC or other PDA that
functions with Blackberry Connect. This allows the functionality and
applications of PDA along with push e-mail of Blackberry. Unfortunately, I do
not believe that VZW or T-mobile (I can use them as well) currently
supports a PDA phone with Blackberry Connect in the US.

I understand that although the US carriers will not officially offer
or support blackberry connect functionality, it may be possible to
purchase a PDA device, load Blackberry Connect and provide the
necessary information (PIN) to the service provider to recognize the
device and provide e-mail functionality pushed from my corporate
Blackberry enterprise server.

I will not purchase a Blackberry device as they are too limited in memory
expansion and other applications that I use on my smartphone.
