I have had a small bookstore website on-line since early Feb./06 and I did not had one single sale. How can I enhance my presence ? How can I have my boostore lined up with some other bookstores as we find in search for bookstores Are there places where I would be alllowed to place my website banner or address link for searchers to find among others. My website address is: http://www.agathebooks.com/welcome I really need your help, I am elderly and am quite new on the web and ignorant of many of its procedures. My main goal for this bookstore was to be able to bring in fanancial addition to my bank account in order to be able to respond to the many demands coming our way for help. Before you add on to the amount of $5.00 please let me know for I may not be able to pay more. How much do you think the amount could finally go up to? Regards Agathe Paquette |

Hi Agathe You need worry about the bill for this question getting any bigger because YOU set the price and that's it .... Unless YOU choose to add a tip for a great answer. Hope someone can help because it's an interesting question. Your name sounds ... a little French n'est ce pas? Bryan |

I suggest that you proofread carefully. On your site, you have listed the title of a book as "THE OPPOSITE EVERTHING IS TRUE." Apparently the actual title is "The Opposite of Everything is True." Typographical errors on a commercial website make the site appear unprofessional. Image does count. |

A friend of mine with a bookstore suggests you list your books on Amazon Marketplace or Half.com. She sells a number of her books this way. - Hammer |

Hi Again Agathe You are missing A BIG TRICK by not showing the Authors' names alongside the Books' titles. The public are not going to buy many books unless they have that info - after all some books have the same or similar titles. Bryan |

See some general advices at: <http://answers.google.com/answers/threadview?id=761063> I also agree with Hammer's advice and add another source, through which you can sell your books: ebay.com or .ca, .co.uk). By the way, our comments here are "free" advices. Only when you will get an answer posted on the "Answer" box, would you be required to pay the additional $5. |

Agathe. I run a series of bookstores in perth, australia. To sell books online a few thing will help. 1. Pictures of the covers. 2. A short background of the book.. perhaps the blurb? at the moment your site is a bit dry and it sertainly looks unprofessional. Dublhelix (aka, Tom from Booklovers Australia) |
