Should I attend SAE (School for Audio Engineering www.saeny.com) as
the best school for Audio Engineering in NY? I am debating this, and
Full Sail in Florida. My main concerns are: Networking capabilities,
Availability of Start Times, Price, Success of Employment. I
currently have a very stable job in finance, but am looking to get out
ASAP. (I already have some experience in home recording as well).
I know Full Sail is FT only and much more expensive, however they
offer a bachelor's degree in 2 yrs, v/s just a "diploma" at the end of
the 18month PT program at SAE. I have looked online at a few other
schools in the area (REI, etc.) and believe that SAE is the best
around here, however I haven't been able to find many reviews or
threads on it. I'd like to know what people are saying (both students
AND producers/engineers). Please help! Thanks.
Please keep in mind that I will need to have some sort of job that
makes at least $300 a week to contribute to my future wife & I's rent,
etc. |
