Hello vlad-ga,
A good way to start exploring online learning is to see if anyone has
already collected the necessary information for you.
Google Web Directory
http://directory.google.com/Top/Reference/Education/Distance_Learning/
The subcategories listed here will expand your horizons about online
teaching. You said that you would like to supplement your income. You
asked about online universities but I thought you might be interested
in some newly emerging opportunities in corporate e-learning as well.
Check out the links to Associations, Directories, Institutions, Online
Courses, Online Teaching and Learning and Workplace Training. There
are more possibilities than simply diploma mills or accredited
educational institutions.
Another quick way to identify online teaching opportunities is to find
directories of online learning programs. Every one of them will
require online instructors.
Petersons Guides
http://www.petersons.com/distancelearning/code/search.asp
This directory gives you a search option to locate schools by keyword
search or course of study. Clicking on the schools name gives you a
detailed description for the online program and additional links,
including links to the schools Web page. From there you can find the
contact information for each school
A low-tech approach would be to buy a print directory.

Bears' Guide to Earning Degrees by Distance Learning

$29.95
This book is in its 15th addition and is the best guide to distance
education, including online learning. It lists 3000+ educational
institutions and will provide a very good overview of what is
happening in the field. You can pick up a used copy or an earlier
edition for under $15.
Here are some additional suggestions for finding online teaching jobs.
· Contact your local schools and universities to find out about their
online instructional programs.
· Ask among your friends and acquaintances to see if any of them are
teaching online and ask for their assistance in identifying
opportunities.
· Identify schools you would like to teach for and approach them with
a proposal for a course.
· Identify courses you would like to teach and search the Web to see
which schools are already offering such courses. They will sometimes
need replacement instructors or add new classes
