Hi,

I'm a sysadmin at a small company, but I was appointed this job
because I'm "knowledgable" about computers, not because I hold some
kind of cert on Linux or anything like that... And I need to setup a
DHCP/DNS server on Ubuntu 6.06.

I'm failing on the DNS side... So I'll leave it up to a knowledgable
person to do the job. If you think the price is low, please state your
reasons.

Now, on to the meaty stuff.

Or zone is named oc.hemac.com.mx.
IP range: 192.168.0.0/255.255.255.0
Server IP: 192.168.0.101
Hostname: zeus

We'll be using a Recursive DNS and Secondary DNS from DynDNS.com, so
we would need to allow the Sec. DNS to replicate our zone, and instead
of using the root servers we would use just the Rec. DNS.

Also I need to configure BIND9 to allow DHCP to update the hosts for
which it leases addresses (I think this is called DDNS).

As you might've guessed already, I'm not an expert at all on this
stuff, so any additional suggestions are welcome.

I need detailed info on how to configure named.conf, rndc and all the
other stuff needed.

I already have bind9 installed but I haven't gotten past correctly
configuring our zone...

Thanks!
