We are looking to implement a net service/concept based on technology
and algorithms that we have developed.

We are looking to protect our technology/concept as far as we can,
ideally with a patent (or other suitable method). Is this possible (we
are UK based), and what is the cheapest way of doing this, or is there
anything we need to research to minimise costs before seeing a
professional?
