I am in the US and changing jobs, and currently have a deferred
compensation plan with my old company. I would like to roll the
distribution from the plan into another tax-deferred vehicle as I
receive payments (distributed over X years). Please provide in detail
my options, and how I would implement these. My state is California,
and the company is a multinational.

To be clear, I'm looking to defer tax on the distribution - not pay
tax and then roll into something else.
