I am looking for information on a catholic saint or blessed person
named aglassi; perhaps aglasi, algassi, or algasi? I am NOT looking
for information on Jacques Algasi.

Could it be St. Adalgis?

Hi Tootles,
Searching for a St. Aglassi or Algassi came up with no results. Are
you sure this is the right name? Do you think it could be St. Agileus?
Or like bobbie suggested, maybe St. Adalgis. Anything you can tell us
what you know about this saint will help us in our research. Thanks.
Regards,
rainbow

There's also a Saint Agilus. It might help researchers if we knew
about anything associated with this saint (or blessed person). Do you
have any further clues, however tiny?

As others have said, there doesn't appear to be any saint or blessed
by that exact name, or even one close. Here are two urls to sites
that have exhaustive indices of saints and blesseds. Perhaps you can
find what you're looking for there:
http://users.erols.com/saintpat/ss/ss-index.htm
http://www.catholic.org/saints/stindex.php

Should you be able to come up with any more details to help identify
the particular person you're looking for, we might be able to do more
for you.
Best wishes,
Byrd

Perhaps Saint Eligius?
