A webbed version of Encarta's Christopher Columbus entry is here: http://www.millersv.edu/~columbus/columbus.html The last paragraph entitled "The Columbian Legacy" has some pertinent analysis for you. As well, a google search on Christopher Columbus legacy ://www.google.com/search?q=%22christopher+columbus%22+legacy turns up a large number of pages from varying points of view. The answer to your question is a contentious one, and probably best served by weighing a variety of opinion on the matter. |

From the Google Answers FAQ " In general, we recommend that you use Google Answers as a tool to assist you with your homework rather than as a substitute for you doing your homework yourself." Besides which, don't you think that your price is set a little low to induce someone to write an essay? |

A good essay may be about why the word "discovery" is used. How could a continent which already had 26,000.000 very creative inhabitants be "discovered?" It makes it seem that 'civilization" in the New World began in 1492 rather than having already existed here for 8,000 years. Just a philosophical direction you might take after you have allowed a researcher to point you to some resources for your paper. |
