THIRD:  I am MOST interested in campgrounds/parks for people of modest means.

FOURTH: I am NOT looking for RV campgrounds/parks alone.

NOTE: Websites are fine IF they are only websites with campgrounds AND
property sales. Individual sites are fine. I am especially interested
in such places NOT for the wealthy.

(You had a Hilton Head link in S.C. which was too upscale for me.) Also, you asked how many campgrounds would I hope for in these states? My guess is that if I had 30 links (or websites) that suit me, distributed between N.C. and TX near the coast, that would probably let me find enough to keep me busy this winter. I am lenghening my distance-from-the-ocean (or gulf) to three miles instead of just one. Thanks very much

However, as I said in my original answer, the market for these types of homes is not as sophisticated or well-developed outside of Florida. Most of these places don't have websites at all, so it is difficult to find information on them. I've done the best I can. For Savannah, I'm sorry but I could not find much. There is one RV resort that I could find, but they don't sell lots, and one mobile home/RV community. The RV park does have monthly rates, though, and they seem to be very friendly. (I called them to ask about lots for sale.) Savannah Oaks RV Resort 805 Fort Argyle Rd Savannah, GA 31419 Phone:(912) 748-4000 According to an RV park review website, the park is home to many year-round guests. I actually got quite a laugh out of the adventures that some people had with the previous owner-- he sounds like quite a character, riding around on his golf cart yelling at all the tenants. In the last couple days, I've learned a lot about the area in terms of my interests in life. Sea shells and dolphins, for example. (I was a naturalist -- one of those people who teaches nature in national and state parks, metroparks, etc.) I suppose I was a professional, but my work was fun -- much too fun and interesting for "professionals.") I always assured anyone who accused me of being a professional that I most certainly was not. If you could take one more look specifically and only at the PANAMA CITY BEACH area, then I will be occupied for the next five years, laughing at some of the bad reviews as you did, and traveling to the places on what will become my short list. Should I wind up needing more info. or specific info. on areas/places etc. I will make a new question, a new payment, but I will ask for you, if that is possible. You are very talkative, which is making my first GoogleSearch experience less "professional," and therefore a whole lot more fun -- as well as more beneficial than I thought it could possibly be. When I chose my price, I thought I was paying a lot, which, of course, is what I had intended to do. Turns out I didn't pay squat. (I hope that statement doesn't prevent you from taking a second look at Panama City Beach area). I hope when I get to the ratings, there is a place for comments. Shine on, NatureWalker

Clarification of Answer by keystroke-ga on 26 Sep 2006 16:26 PDT Hello naturewalker, The information should in 99.9% of cases stay on Google forever! (Oh, the power of the Internet.) However, there have been a few cases where questions have been removed later on. I'm not sure exactly why this happens or what the procedure is but I will tell you that it is possible that the question could be deleted, even a few years from now. Out of thousands of questions, I have heard of this happening only once or twice, so it's a very remote possibility. So, for the most part you should be safe with not having a printout or a copy. You could copy the information into a document for safekeeping, if you wanted to, just in case. Anyway, good luck with your RVing and with wherever you choose to stay! :) --keystroke-ga

resorts offering rv lots for sale. It's a pretty good site called
snowbird properties. Although it is national in rv content, you should
be able to find rv property in most areas. We bought an rv campsite
