I have had 3 different digital cameras. I have used more than a dozen editing software packages, including Adobe Photoshope Elements, Microsoft products, Picasa, Photobrush, etc, etc. I have approx 8,000 pictures of kids, family, etc. Here's the issue - when I print pictures I like to have the date the picture was taken displayed on the picture. However, I have never found software that will allow you to "stamp" the date on the picture in a batch mode. Everything I've used requires you to do it picture by picture. Please don't tell me that I have to use the camera's software to do this. I don't buy that answer as EVERY software package I've used can do this 1 picture at a time. If you can find a free software package that does this I'll give a $10 tip. | |

Have a look at IrfanView, a freeware image viewer for Windows 9x/ME/NT/2000/XP/2003. Its comprehensive batch capabilities allow for adding date-stamps to images. http://irfanview.com |

There is a freeware appliance which will label all images you have tranferred from your cameras that contain EXIF data with the date/time (optional on either) and will batch process based on existing exif data located at http://www.freedownloadscenter.com/Multimedia_and_Graphics/Misc__Graphics_Tools/Magitime.html hopefully this will be what you were looking for. i downloaded and tested the software on some old image galleries taken with a fuji finepix and it seems to work exactly as advertised. As an aside, thank you for urging me to search this out. seems very handy -Bota |
