I have had 3 different digital cameras. I have used more than a dozen
editing software packages, including Adobe Photoshope Elements,
Microsoft products, Picasa, Photobrush, etc, etc. I have approx 8,000
pictures of kids, family, etc.

Here's the issue - when I print pictures I like to have the date the
picture was taken displayed on the picture. However, I have never
found software that will allow you to "stamp" the date on the picture
in a batch mode. Everything I've used requires you to do it picture
by picture.

Please don't tell me that I have to use the camera's software to do
this. I don't buy that answer as EVERY software package I've used can
do this 1 picture at a time.

If you can find a free software package that does this I'll give a $10 tip.

Although not free, I believe this program should do what you want:

SnapTouch
http://www.snaptouch.com/

Adding Date, Time or Comment to Your Images
"One of the SnapTouch unique features is the ability to prepare images
for printing by adding on them date, time or comment. Date, time or
comment will be visible on the printed image so you will always be
able to tell when it was taken!"

You have the option to apply this to:
*This image
*Selected images
*Whole collection

Download a trial version here:

Looking forward to your clarification.

Best regards,
Rainbow

Have a look at IrfanView, a freeware image viewer for Windows
9x/ME/NT/2000/XP/2003. Its comprehensive batch capabilities allow for
adding date-stamps to images.

There is a freeware appliance which will label all images you have
tranferred from your cameras that contain EXIF data with the date/time
(optional on either) and will batch process based on existing exif
data located at

http://www.freedownloadscenter.com/Multimedia_and_Graphics/Misc__Graphics_Tools/Magitime.html

hopefully this will be what you were looking for.
i downloaded and tested the software on some old image galleries taken
with a fuji finepix and it seems to work exactly as advertised. As an
aside, thank you for urging me to search this out. seems very handy
