3 Part Question:
1. My zipcode is 14220. I have a 1998 Dodge Durango SLT with a 5.2
Liter V8 engine, and a 4 wheel drive drivetrain. It has 98,000 miles
on it. Where would I go and how much would it cost me to have my truck
professionally overhauled to primarily include: Replacing the engine,
replacing the automatic transmission, replacing the drivetrain and the
transfer case assembly, and replacing the ABS? Secondary would be to:
replace Air conditioning system, replace brake system, and all
electrical systems.
2. What would the increase in value, if any, of my truck be?
3. Would it be worth it? I love my truck but i dont trust it, it
doesnt handle good, i have a constant sense of "something is wrong".
but i dont want to go through the pain of selling it and buying
another vehicle if i dont have too. if overhauling cost too much more
than the value of my truck, what is my next best alternative?

You've got one of the earlier Durangos. Go get a new one, or one
that's one or two years old.

The problem sounds like a phobia. Sure, the truck will be more
dependable if you replace all the parts, but that's not very
practical.
