Question ID: 767304
Ive recently had problems with windows media player, then i downloaded
IE7 and i hate it. Ive tried to add/remove programs with both and it
doesnt work.....so i thought i would just do a system restore, but the
ironic thing is when i go start/programs/accessories/system
tools/system restore it brings up a window but its a blank white
one......so i thought if i searched for it it might bring up a
different window but its the same....even with help and support. i
dont have a restore CD either. i dont know how to do a reformat, even
then i dont have the driver CDs either......what can i do?

Hello,

You really need that CD. You will have to take your computer to
someone who repairs PCs or borrow a system restore CD from someone you
know.

Good luck!

All you need a clean repair....but with all settings and profiles the
same.......get a new winxp with sp2 cd or a one without it, and then
insert it and restart the system..

check if it shows...press any key to boot from cd....if it says soo
press and continue...if it doesnt then go to bios and then set the
first boot device to cd.

then windows installation starts, u come to a place where they ask u
to press R for recovery console...dont enter there.. continue without
it and then it searches for previous installations....and finds the
current one. then select repair on the options....all your windows
files will be replaced but the desktop, all files will remain the
same...you wont have to worry abt any thing

restart the pc and keep pressing F8 key, on system startup select last
known good configuration and press enter. If this does not solve your
problem.
Then again reboot pc and press F8 key, boot system in safe mode and
after safe mode is complete, start system restore application from
their.
If further problem mail me.
