Question ID: 767410
I am trying to find out how far (rough estimate) a 40G (OC-768) signal
can travel over standard single mode fiber given various modulation
schemes. The modulation schemes I am interested in finding a
corresponding distance to are: RZ, NRZ, CS-RZ, Duobinary, and DPSK.

Thanks.

I believe RZ can provide an approximate distance of 80 km for OC-768.
Perhaps this might help to clarify what I am looking for.
