What I need is a brand-new laptop with the following features:

  1. All legacy ports (9 pin serial and parallel)
  2. Standard laptop IDE drive (no SATA)
  Under $800.00

Also, it needs to have a modem, Ethernet and Wi-Fi

By "all legacy" I meant that it has serial and parallel, but also has USB.
There is no answer at this time.

TRY Hp Compaq Business Notebook NX 6120 having all the facilities,
serial parrallel, and ata drive and less then $800

A Dell Latitude D510 has all of these ports that you require.

If you can pick up one of those that will do the trick perfectly.

try to go with compaq
you ll get all wat you need with more speed in processing than others provide
get on with thoshiba if you are in need of dual processors
