Hi All,

I am trying to come up with a dynamic menu for a flash application
that pulls data from an XML file and then, depending on how many nodes
are in the XML, creates the correct number of buttons and labels them
with the corresponding data in the XML...

Specifically, the xml file lists videos that I have on a streaming
server, with titles and descriptions...to start, I'd love to come up
with a way to list the titles vertically, having each title function
as a button to go to a frame that loads the video referenced in XML
file under the same node as the title of the button that was selected.

Currently, I've got my app reading the XML, and am able to create
variables to reference individual nodes within the file and display
them in the app...my AS experience is limited (but growing) and ANY
help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks so much in advance! Sorry if this is convoluted...i am so confused.

Patrick

www.gotoandlearn.com has many video tutorials covering almost exactly
what you want. Also have a look at www.actionscript.org if you have
specific questions.
