Currently we deploy a Java WebStart application to our clients. We are thinking now 1 in 10 people has various problems including local firewalls blocking JWS, problems with Java installation and upgrading from older versions Java( we use 1.5 ). I am wondering if Flash would provide a more problem free environment to deploy our application and if so trying to find some material to present to the management as to why we would want to spend the time and money to rewrite and deploy in Flash. Perhaps Flash Applications would have the same problems as I we have with JWS, and would like more information and perhaps any links to comparisons of the technologies and problems associated with them. |
