No, I don't want to create a PowerPoint slideshow where the viewer
manually clicks from slide to slide.  I want to present a few
photographs using Ken Burns-style, slow panning and zooming onto
various portions of my photographs while the music of my choice plays
in the background.  The view should switch to the next photograph at a
set, automatic time.

What is the best/easiet software I can use to accomplish this?  Also,
once I create my multimedia slideshow, tell me if it will be easy to
share it with other people or post it online.

BTW, at this low price, I am not looking for instructions on how to
use the software.  I just need to know where to begin and what type of
program is ideal for this sort of project.

I haven't used it, but a friend recommends "MemoriesOnTV."
