I can't seem to find any NEW data on this question. Are the car manufacturers making cars with External Antennas? For an extra tip, I would like some new or future data that shows whether car companies will continue making cars with external antennas. Thank you! |

The latest Hyundai Accent certainly has one: it is non-retractable and roof-mounted |

Both the Chrysler PT Cruiser and Toyota Prius have external antennas. These would be for terrestial radio. J. |

I have yet to see a car WITHOUT an external antenna. How would the radio work effectively if no antenna? And it doesn't matter whether it's re-tractable or non-retractable. Maybe, I misunderstood the question. |

Many of the "High End" cars have built in internal antenna's. It doesn't matter if it is retractable or not. I just need to know if future cars are being built with external, not internal antenna's. Can you find any statistics of how many vehicles currently have external antenna's and what percentage of NEW vehicles will have external antenna's? Thanks!! |

My car, a 2005 Hinda Civic Hybrid, has an external antenna mounted on the body above the front seats. |
