Question ID: 768322
am a realtor. I need a digital camera with a wide-angle lens to take
interior and exterior shots of the homes I have for sale. I don't know
exactly what size lens is ideal for this purpose. Can you tell me? Of
course, I would like the camera to be as inexpensive as possible. I
don't need too many megapixels since the photos will most likely be
displayed on the Web or printed no larger than 8x10.

I've tried looking for a ppoint and shoot but no look these seem to of
stoped making them a couple of years ago.

Hello Furniture_brochure,

I've had several rather nice digital cameras, and I had never seen
one that came with a wide angle lens. Thus, I did not expect to find
one, especially for a fair price.

However, I came across this Kodak, at what I consider a fair price,
especially with dual lenses, one of which is a wide angle.

"Using the ultra-wide view in panorama scene mode, you can take in a
180-degree vista with just three shots compared to the R807's five.
Like the HP model, in-camera stitching means that you can print
panoramas directly from the camera to a compatible printer, although
Kodak hasn?t gone as far as producing specialised printing paper to
print on. It is still a case of print on A4 and get the scissors out."

Since there is currently no paper to print these out in panoramic
mode, these photos should do well online. Use a program like Corel
Photo Album to decrease photo size (and file size) for web use. This
program can batch resize photos for the web, meaning you can do all
your photos at the same time.

You will need extra SD memory cards too!

You can also purchase wide angle lenses for most digital cameras, such
as this Sony wide angle lens. If you already have a decent digital
camera, you might consider searching for one to fit that camera! Your
local camera shop may be able to fit your present camera with a wide
angle lens.

A Canon wide angle lens:

This Kodak 5 megapixel camera is roughly the same price as the Kodak
camera above, that comes with a wide angle lens, making it look a
better deal than this one, which would require a separate purchase for
the wide angle lens.

The Kodak camera is the least expensive camera/wide angle lens combo I
was able to find!

I hope this is the solution for you! If not, please request an Answer
Clarification, and allow me to respond, before you rate.

Regards, Crabcakes
