According to the Holy Bible, were Adam and Eve caucasian and if they
were or not what mention in the Bible is there regarding the origins
of race? Generally, what does the Bible have to say about white,
black, colored and asian peoples. Was Eve black and Adam white with
slanted eyes?--I don't understand how the races developed from the
creation of one man and one women. What does the Christian community
conclude occurred to get us where we are?

Hello darwinbedford~

This is not an easy question to answer, and since this is a $2
question, I'm not going to try to dissect current thought on the
matter, but will instead send you to some sources that are
well-thought-of in the Christian community.

I would start at Christian Answers:
http://www.christiananswers.net/race.html Here, you'll find succinct
answers to basic questions about race and the Bible.

Next, check out a more complex discussion at Bible Truth:
http://www.bible-truth.org/race.htm Here, you'll find a discussion of
the meaning of "race," whether or not the Bible mentions that word,
how people in the past have tried to show race in the Bible, and how
genetics fit in.

Then look at God and Science: http://www.godandscience.org/evolution/sld098.html

From reading the links provided by Kriswrite it appears that the
Christian community believes that all humans are a result of the
breeding of Noah, his three sons and their wives which started less
than 4000 years ago. This includes all ?races? and indigenous peoples
of all continents. Do you know if this is what the American
Creationists want to have taught in U.S. schools?

You ask: "Do you know if this is what the American Creationists want
to have taught in U.S. schools?"

This is really a new question, and I think it is much to general to
answer, because Christians differ in their beliefs on subject matters
not specified by the Bible (such as the creation of the races). Those
Creationists who aren't Christians or Jews (and yes, there are some!)
may differ even more dramatically in their opinions. Therefore, what
one Creationist would like to see taught with regard to the origin of
races would be very different from what another would like to see
taught.

I can say, however, that in general Creationists simply want the idea
that a God created the world to be held up as just as valid a theory
as theory of Darwinism. Nonetheless, as I survey the more prominent
Creationism group's websites, they all generally believe that the
races are just what happened to happen, due to genetics: "Where Did
The Races Come From?" at The Institute for Creation Research:

It's easy to see how the races developed from one man and one woman.
As people spread farther out, their skin simply changed and adapted to
fit wherever they lived-- for instance, people who lived closer to the
equator had darker skin due to being in the sun for so much of the
year. Genes mutated in certain areas, and when those mutations (for
instance, Asian eyes) were seen as attractive and passed on to further
generations, those people looked different than people from other
places. This also has another, controversial name-- it's evolution,
and whatever you believe about it it certainly happened with people
and the adaptations they have made in skin color and looks in
different parts of the world.

Civilization and subsequent emigration started way back from africa.
In layman's terms, all races descended from the black race. If, for
instance, you take light-skinned blacks in africa and allowed them to
mate and their off-springs mate with the lightest of the light and you
continued this trend for centuries, you'd end up with a caucasian.

We can deduce factually, the first humans (Adam and Eve in the garden
of eden in present day Iraq) were of the black race, whose descendants
spread into north africa, some of whom later crossed Strait of
Galbraiter into Europe and continued dispersal and resultant gene
mutations occurred. Hope that helps!

The Biblical view is that Adam and Eve were created as two perfect
specimens. God's original plan was for them to live forever. Death did
not 'start' until they disobeyed [ the forbidden fruit]. Prior to
this, the story of creation does not mention death. Once Adam and Eve
had 'sinned' they became subject to death [Genesis 3; 16,17] Only
after mankind was scattered by Almighty God [ Jehovah Exodus 6;3]
from building the tower in Babel [Genesis 11;5] did mankind spread
around the world with their languages ' confused'. This explains why
there are so many languages worldwide. And they have been changing
slightly ever since. The people who at present inhabit the area where
Eden was estimated to be, Iraq, with dark hair and swarthy skin, do
not necessarily indicate that Adam and Eve looked like that. They have
developed their race type by extended living in that area. Because we
know what effect the sun has on us, it should be safe to assume that
Adam and Eve were basically white, and that dark races became that way
due to sunlight action. The Bible does not say and does not put one
race above any other.
As for evolution. For the parents of a new baby, evolution is the very
last thing they want. They want their child to be exactly like them,
with all its fingers and toes. New mothers just cannot wait to check
their new off spring. If evolution had any credence, then parents
should look forward to slight changes in their children, to 'improve'
the species...They NEVER DO.

Just to add:
The blacks seem to have ALL the genes present in other races. For
example, two dark-skinned can very well produce a very light-skinned
off-spring (and I have seen so many). The only question is
probability.

They want them with the same number of fingers and toes but they want
it a lot other thing, they want it taller, faster, brighter, more
strong and creative etc.
