Question ID: 768732
I have Mac, Safari, Google. Neither Reseting Safari nor emptying
cache delete old web addresses. To clarify, if I want to go to Amazon
for example, as soon as I type in the A in the browser bar other web
pages I've been to appear. How do I delete these. Thanks.

Reset Safari:

This just doesn't erase your google data, it erases your cookies,
autofills, cache, history list, usernames, and passwords.

1. Goto the Safari menu
2. Click Safari
3. Select Reset Safari

To disable the cache permanently (only do this if you are reasonably
confident of what you are doing):

Quit Safari by choosing 'Quit' from the 'Safari' menu, or by holding
down the Command key and pressing Q.

Open a Terminal window by double-clicking 'Terminal' within the
'Utilities' folder, which is within the 'Applications' folder.

Type the following commands, which are case-sensitive, each followed
by the Enter key:

rm -rf ~/Library/Caches/Safari
touch ~/Library/Caches/Safari

Close the Terminal window by typing exit followed by the Enter key, or
by holding down the Ctrl key and pressing D.

Relaunch Safari

Read pinkfreud-ga's link and ignore the other (bad, dangerous) advice.

It will start the autocomplete with adresses stored in the bookmarks.
If you want to get rid of those then you will have to delete the
bookmarks.
