The very first teaser trailer I ever saw for the film "Lady in the
Water" (2006, directed by M. Night Shyamalan) contained a song that I
like. It was sung by a male Italian singer (or sounded Italian), and
had violins playing slowly, sort of like classical music of some type.

The trailer in question was very short, so the song was only partial.
The trailer played in a local theater prior to another movie, and I
don't know if it was ever available elsewhere. I have not seen it
since, either on a DVD, television or online.

Can anyone name the song in question, and tell me who sung it?

rainbow-ga, my younger brother (it's actually his question) thanks you
from the bottom of his heart -- it is indeed the song he was looking
for.

P.S. I've answered a few questions in my day, but asked almost none...
how do I block the question so nobody "answers" it now? Or should I
delete it? Thanks.

Hi core,

Since the song I provided is the correct one, I will post it as the
answer to your question so I can collect the fee.

Looking forward to hearing your views.

Best regards,

I asked my brother about that (it's his money) and he told me to
cancel the question. Please don't blame me directly, the money is
coming out of his pocket. Sorry about that, and thanks for the favor
(I owe you one).
