What are the steps and equipment necessary to make a plasma TV purchased in the US (Panasonic TH-50PX60U 50" Plasma HDTV), work in India? (I know India does not yet have HDTV broadcasts, but what do I need for watching the Standard definition broadcast there, and HDTV broadcast when it is available). |

It seems not very probable that your TV set would work in India. Aside from the usual problems with different electricity standards and power outlets, the main problem is that your TV set does, as I found out through the product specifications on Panasonic's US web site, not have a tuner for the PAL TV system. But unfortunately, PAL is the standard they use in India. So far, I have not seen a PAL to NTSC converter one can put between the antenna cable and the TV set. Scriptor |

I don't think I need a PAL to NTSC *converter*. Just an external PAL tuner should do the job. |
