How can someone take a train or bus from/to Oxnard & San Diego

How can someone get to OR from Oxnard (in Ventura county, which is in
Northern Los Angeles) to San Diego with driving.

I am looking for a train or if that is not possible a shuttle bus (not
a stard pub bus, but the nicer kind for long distances)

Here are some points you may want to cover:
- What are 2 options to the trip?
- How much will it cost (ballpark)
- How long will the journey take (ballpark)
- Is there a place on each end to rent a car?

I would be happy to pay a $10 tip of you could also do a version of
the plan that has an overnight stop near Torrance (in LA).  If
Torrance is not possible, how about the beach area like Santa Monika
or Vince beach.

You can take Amtrak?s Pacific Surfliner train from Oxnard to San
Diego. There are several departure times daily. The price is $28. The
trip is about five hours. Although the train stations don?t have
rental car counters, they do offer direct phone connections to rental
car companies. Your best bet is to make reservations ahead of time and
have them pick you up at the train station.
