What is the name of the opera that is often played at football games? A specific example is when the New England Patriots revealed there Super Bowl banner in Week 1 of the 2004 season (the Colts were the visiting team) this opera was playing in the background. | |

Hi sirluke4, "O Fortuna" appears at the beginning and end of Carl Orff's "Carmina Burana," which has been recorded many times. Here's a link to the bestselling version of "Carmina Burana" on Amazon.com: "Orff: Carmina Burana" [Conductor: Riccardo Muti] http://www.amazon.com/Orff-Carmina-Burana-Riccardo-Muti/dp/B00001ZSXC/ - justaskscott Search strategy -- Searched on Google and Amazon for: "carmina burana" "o fortuna" |

sirluke4: Operas are not performed at football games...doing that would make for a really long halftime. You probably meant to ask: What operatic excerpt is often played at football games? Regards, k22 |
