I have a Silent Gliss electric panel curtain and am trying to replace the existing switch with a Marmitek SW10 remote control system. Unfortunately (even with my basic understanding of wiring), it seems as though the two different switch systems use different circuit layouts. With the SW10 it seems like it is a live wire going from the up/down switch connectors to the motor and with the silent gliss system it seems like it is a neural cable which connects from the motor to the up/down connectors on the switch. So, my questions are: 1. Does it actually make any difference if I just wire it up the SW10 way and send the current the other way round the Silent Gliss system? I don?t know how their motors and control systems work (most motors you can wire up each way, yes?) and I certainly don?t want to just have a go in case I blow something as the Silent Gliss system cost thousands to install. 2. Or if you believe that wiring the Silent Gliss system the other way round would damage the system, can I wire the SW10 another way to get it to work? Please see link for circuit diagram for Marmitec SW10 ? unfortunately I can?t find one for the Silent Gliss system to compare: http://www.marmitek.com/en/pdf/8954.pdf Many thanks for your help John-Marc |
