Dear dcs,
The song you are searching for is indeed "Golden Gate Park", sometimes
referred to as "Sunday Morning In Golden Gate Park" from 1968. It was
recorded by a band called "Rejoice", the number of the 45 was Dunhill
D-4158 with the b-side being "Sonora". The producer was Terry Melcher,
son of singer / actress Doris Day, the songwriters were Tom and Nancy
Brown.
The band Rejoice had four singles published in 1968-1969, and an album
named "Rejoice!" (Dunhill DS 50049, 1968 or 1969). After that, they
vanished.
