Hello beohm
Thanks for asking about the new Maybach, obviously a very luxurious
car:
"Mercedes-Benz Maybach: Coming next year, both Maybachs are
$300,000-plus limousines, powered by 550-horsepower V-12 engines. They
are intended to give Mercedes-Benz a piece of the pop-star and
old-money business that's been going to Rolls-Royce.
Along with length, the main difference between the Maybach models is
that Maybach 57 owners are more likely to drive, while 62 owners are
more likely to be riding in the back seat.
About 1,000 Maybachs will be hand-built each year in Germany by
white-gloved engineers and craftsmen. The cars can be ordered with any
custom touch, down to specifying the type of lining in the glove box.
Beyond the usual luxury car features, Maybach 57 has 10 air bags, a
refrigerator and TV reception in the back seat. Wine-glass and
cognac-snifter holders in the back seat take the place of Big Gulp cup
holders.
Maybachs will be sold by 80 Mercedes-Benz dealerships in special
showrooms to separate them from the brand's lower-price models."
