I have three related questions right now. I think they are all pretty
straightforward for experienced web programmers; I am pretty much a
novice at this.

I know how to create a mailto with something in the subject line or
the body. What I want to do is just slightly more complicated.

I want to set up a site so that the user can enter text in a form
field, then later have *that* text show up in the body of an e-mail. I
expect that I could do this with JavaScript but I have no idea how.
Insight?

Generally speaking, you would do this through the web server, not
through JavaScript. What kind of web server are you using (IIS,
Apache, Java-based)?

Hmm. I am not sure. Can you tell me how to find out?

Is the site hosted in your company/school or is it hosted externally?
