In SQL Server 2005, I am running various SQL Profiler traces on different servers. On certain servers, the profiler trace always displays a zero in the CPU column of each and every trace row. Everything else works as expected. This occurs on certain servers, but not on all servers, and I have been unable to identify any server configuration options that are different between the servers. The zeros produced in the CPU column are undoubtedly inaccurate. What is causing this, and how do I fix it? |

please run on sql server 2005 (where from profiler): select @@version and if it is less then 2005.90.2047 (SP1) install sp1 for sql server 2005 .. <On certain servers, the profiler trace always displays a zero in the CPU column of each and every trace row> can you clarify the "bad" sql servers edition\version\SP? Also same for OS : edition\SP - for main (where profiler) and CPU-less box if their sql servers SP not too fresh - it could be source of your problems. ---- Also just be sure - is there any activity on the 0 CPU box? What CPU you can see on box's profiler - if login there? |
