Hi,

I'm looking for a couple Jesus Christ quotes...
Regarding the topic of "Self Mastery"....

For example....
I recently saw this "Jesus" quote......

?He who rules his spirit has won a greater victory than the taking of a city.?

But i can't find the book, chapter, verse, etc....

Please tell me the Bible Book, Chapter, Verse, etc. of this quote or
of any similar "Jesus" Self Mastery quotes......

thank you

Of what good is knowledge of a single scripture? It is only the
overall instruction from the complete Bible that will do us any good.
(Colossians 2:8) Look out: perhaps there may be someone who will carry
YOU off as his prey through the philosophy and empty deception
according to the tradition of men, according to the elementary things
of the world and not according to Christ;

The quote you are looking for was not uttered by Jesus but was written
by Solomon in the Old Testament hundreds of years earlier. Here is
the chapter and verse.

Proverbs 16:32
He who is slow to anger is better than the mighty,
And he who rules his spirit, than he who captures a city.

This translation is New American Standard.

Hope this helps.
