I'd like to have a list of a dozen or so longer-running comic books. For example:

- Cerebus 1-300
- Dark Horse Presents
- Savage Sword of Conan
- Savage Dragon 1-150
- Amazing Spider-Man, Sensational Spider-Man, Spectacular Spider-Man,
X-Force, Uncanny X-Men...
- Action Comics, Superman, Batman, Jimmy Olsen, Detective Comics, Flash Comics...

Basically, I'm creating a bit of a database and want to have some
inspiration for content to add. Above ones are already on the list so
need not be listed. Issue numbers don't have to be precise but help me
to get a clearer picture. Doesn't need to be US comics only. Thanks!

(When I say list, I just mean a simple fuzzy title list like above,
*not* a list of individual issues or anything! It's just for
inspiration and not for parsing!)

PPS: A couple of links to such lists would be fine as well, no need to
list them here -- whichever you prefer.

j-p,

Hey man, nice to see you here.

I found a pretty good-looking list:

but I'm guessing that you've already seen things like this, and I'm
not sure if this is the sort of thing you're looking for or not.

Can you let me know if this is on target?

Thanks,

Hi Phillip,

Here's a list of 50 titles, 12 of which are current, and many of which
are/were long-running:

"Most Hit Titles"
ComicsPriceGuide.com
http://www.comicspriceguide.com/mosthit.asp

If you'd like further inspiration, you could search on that site, as
well as search or browse three other large databases:

"Browse Titles"
Comic Book DB
http://www.comicbookdb.com/browse.php?search=Title

The Big Comic Book Database
http://www.comics-db.com/

Grand Comics Database

Searched for these terms on Google:

D'oh! Sorry for misspelling "Philipp" as "Phillip". (I once won a
spelling bee in elementary school; but I've always had a problem
spelling that name!)

Short and sweet, that's what I was looking for! Also thanks to Pafalafa.
