Hi, There are many, many lists of words in different languages, but most are not broken down into usage. I assumed you were looking for English words. Downloadable Dictionaries & Word List Sites http://www.net-comber.com/wordurls.html is a page of links to sites that may be of interest, but the one that includes syntax is... http://download.sourceforge.net/wordlist/pos-1.zip This link is a very large downloadable file. When unzipped it produces a comprehensive, or as you so aptly put it HUGE :-), list of words. There is also a read me file that tells you know what the symbols next to each word mean. I didn't find separate lists of nouns, adjective, and adverbs. But here are some bits and pieces that may be more or less useful to you. A truly gigantic list of words, arranged in order of word length: http://kmy.aboleo.net/Class/CS233/Project/dictionary.txt (WARNING - HUGE text file) A "Unified Verb Index" that has a lot of verbs, separated into several pages by initial letter: http://www.cis.upenn.edu/~dgildea/Verbs/ A directory that contains large .txt files with 3,4,5,6,and 7 letter words, including obscure ones: http://www.cse.msu.edu/~cse841/HW1/ |
