It might be said that ultimately we are all our own teachers. When presented with the huge amount of information that the world offers us, we select which bits to accept and retain. Although not all acquisition of knowledge is voluntary, some is under our conscious control. The choice of what to learn, how to learn it, and what to do with it makes each man his own teacher, in a sense. |
