I am interested in finding a romantic place to ask my girl to marry me
(proposal).  My idea is to rent out an art gallery for a few hours and
propose to her during our walk through.  The part that requires some
cooperation with the gallery is that I would be interested in having a
small space to put up some of my own "art."

The details behind my search:
What: An art gallery, museum, studio, etc. that will let me rent the
space for a few hours
When: Mid-November or December (Saturday night - weekend)
Where: San Francisco, Berkeley, Emeryville, Oakland, etc.

fit the criteria above and will rent out the location for a few hours.

I would be happy with 10 leads.  To clarify, I don't need the
researcher to find out if the locations qualify for my times, dates,
space, etc., I just need leads of local art galleries with the ability
for event rentals.

I would indeed expect this to be time consuming for a cold search, but
I'm hoping that somebody has a lead into art galleries or the art
community.  Looks like I might have to lean on the craigslist
community if this doesn't work.  Either way, I really appreciate the

You're requesting extensive research to locate 25 galleries that might
meet your needs for a very low price. The researcher will get $15 for
this project -- less than $1 per gallery as you've specified. Finding
one or two galleries might be reasonable for the $20 price you've
posted. I doubt anyone will bother with your question unless you
change your parameters.
