I have been experiencing abdominal pain for many, many years and have had all kinds of tests to find out what is wrong. My last colonoscopy (about 3 years ago) could not be totally completed because the pain level was so extreme the doctor could not insert the scope all the way up into my upper right abdomen. He recommended that I go and get a Barium enema and lower GI xrays. I never did go for that test. I would like to have research done on two related things: 1)What non-invasive advanced technology is available now to thoroughly diagnose any illness, tumors or malfunction in all of the internal organs (pancreas, stomach, liver, gall bladder, kidneys, small and large intestines)preferably in one diagnostic test (such as new total scanning technology). 2)Is this testing available in Syracuse NY area and who is the most high ranking (by reputation and experience and history of success and/or lack of negative incidences) Gastroenterologist in the Syracuse area? I will be anxiously awaiting your answers so that I can proceed to make some decisions. Thanks, Judy |

You're asking three questions here, since part 2 is actually two separate research projects. The Researcher who takes this on will need to answer all three in order to earn $6 (the Researcher's share of your $8 fee). For a good response, I suggest that you increase the price or reduce the scope of the question (or both). First of all, go and find a gastroenterologist who will do your colonoscopy under anaesthetic. You should not be aware of any pain or discomfort during the procedure because you should be knocked out!!! Your poor thing. I think you'll find that a gastroenterologist who knows enough to do a colonoscopy under anaesthetic will also know some new diagnostic approaches to help find your problem such as nuclear medicine, ultrasound, Hidascans, MRI and CAT scans. |

Have you considered using telemedicine, and India, at one-tenth the cost, as mentioned in medicalcountries.org. |
