Howdy seanshibby-ga,

Memory, such as the type that come as SIMMs, gets "reset" every time you turn
your computer off.

Perhaps your are thinking the computer's CMOS or BIOS. To clear one of those
depends on the make and model of the motherboard. Do you know the make and
model of your motherboard? Thanks!

Or did you perhaps mean "reseat," meaning to break and re-establish
the physical connection between the SIMM and its socket?

May Be ; you asked about taking out RAM from Mother board. Just Push
the Two Locks only. Don't Pull the RAM. OR if CMOS/BIOS you will see a
Junction (there are many) with Label CMOS reset. Put it to the next
and switch on PC. Junctions Are not Hrmful if changed. (But don't
forget where they situated.
