Sound card driver needed; I could not find one on the official toshiba
support site.

device - sound card on Toshiba Satellite R15-S822
OS     - WinXP Pro SP2

Situation: fresh winxp pro sp2 installed, multimedia audio device is
not recognized.

there is no separate sound card, it's integrated into notebook. If I
knew the model, I could easily find the driver.

Please let me know what you see when you do the following:

Click the Start Button and then click the "Programs" folder. 
Next, click the "Accessories" and then the "System Information" folder. 
Within the "System Information" window, click the "+" symbol next to "Components". 
Click "Sound Device" (or "Multimedia" and then "Sound Device").

There is blakn page. Dispaly, cd-rom says some info, but sound device
nothing. I can also go to device manager, and it says question mark
for "multimedia audio controller". Is it no driver available at all?

I'll see if I can help you on this, but first, it would help
researchers to know a bit more about the situation.

What, exactly, is the problem you're having?  How does it present
itself (error message, etc))?  What can't you do that you think you
should be able to do?
