My library has copies of a publication called "The Connoisseur"; would
this be the same one you are looking for? The issues it has are: v.
1, no. 1 (1901) to v. 99, no. 430 (June 1937) ; v. 147, no. 591 (Feb.
1961) to v. 175, no. 706 (Dec. 1970) ; v. 186, no. 747 (May 1974) to
v. 217 (1987), so if it's the right publiction your article would be
in there somewhere!

Where exactly are you based? I'm in Melbourne, Australia, and if
you're not I suspect you can't get to my university library. It would
be useful for researchers in other cities to know your location so as
they may give you an appropriate answer.

I wasn't able to find the article. My library starts connoisseur in
1984. But, I did get the complete reference for you. Perhaps you can
find it at your local library. The magazine was published by HEARST
CORPORATION, NEW YORK.
THE PSYCHOLOGY OF COLLECTING
STORR A
CONNOISSEUR
213 (856): 35-& 1983

However, Anthony Storr has published several books. I couldn't tell,
but perhaps this article is in one of them. This is the one I would
start with.

Art of Psychotherapy. by Storr, Anthony.

Sorry I couldn't find it.
