FRPCJUA (recently it was combined into Citizens) is known as Florida’s
Joint Underwriting Association (JUA). JUA was a state run association
that provided homeowner’s coverage throughout Florida. I would like a
county-by-county number of policies over the last 7 years, month by
month. Just so it’s clear, I don’t want to know how to find this
data, I want the data itself, along with a reference to source. I’ve
already checked their website.

Greetings, Newtronic,

I was able to find general statistics for property insurance in
Florida, though I am sure that it covers more than just JUA policies.
It is given though in mothly and country-by-county form, so I wonder
if that will satisfy you. I'm sure JUA has it's own statistics on its
web page, but they're available through pay (at a humongous price
too).

Clarification: General statistics for property insurance would be
acceptable provided it breaks down the totals by company including
JUA. JUA is an alternative to conventional insurance, so you would
either have a company like All State, or JUA. So what I would expect
to see is a number for each company, by month, by county.

Greetings Newtronic,

So far the best statistical resource I could get on the Florida JUA
policies numbers is:

Florida Insurance Council - Media/Public - Factbook list
http://www.flains.org/cgi-win/fic/browsefactbook.exe

2001 Florida Hurricane Catastrophe Fund Risk Concentration by County
http://www.flains.org/fic/pubs/factbook/2002fhcfnumberofrisks.pdf

This is the resource I mentioned previously. It contains a
county-by-county breakdown of policies, but does not mention the
companies. This does not satisfy your needs, though I’m just posting
it for your reference. I’ll keep looking, though I must state that if
I post nothing here before your question expires, then the required
information is not available online. Thank you.

Thank you, techtor

Thank you for posting what you have found so far. It does seem like
the information is not generally available. Thanks for the effort.
