Question ID: 774168
i am running online meetings with people all over the world
i want to make a shared calendar that people can access
instead of creating a calendar for every time zone or making everyone
do the conversions in their head...

is there any software or website that can generate html or script that
will allow the user to select a time zone from a drop down list or map
and then see the calendar adjust for their time zone

it would need to be able to export that calendar

thanks!!

Hello Farbood,

There have certainly have been several quite good network based
calendar servers / programs such as
 - netscape calendar (a host application / client integrated into Netscape)
 - yahoo calendar
 - google calendar
and so on. The first one might not be supported any more (a quick
search on the netscape.com site found more direct links to Google's
calendar). The last two are free (require registration) but provide
methods for you to share calendars with as many / few people as you
like.

Would a solution like one of these be adequate or if not, what
capabilities do you need beyond what they provide?

I think I know what you need. This link is a scheduling service with
an online calendar. One of the key features is automatic time zone
conversions. In addition to that, users can export appointments and
contact information into Outlook Calendar:

Book24-7.com Calendar Features
http://www.bookingcalendar.com/features.html

This service is slightly different, read it carefully.

Net Appointment
http://www.netappointment.com/
FEATURES: http://66.70.70.83/features.htm

Do either of these work for you?

i was already aware of google calendar and the others, i'm actually
using google calendars embed feature to place my public calendar
directly into my website, which is exactly what i want in terms of a
soluton, some html i can embed
, that restriction may make what i want not possible, i dont know

i just want the user to be able to adjust the timezone easily
currently, if the user subscribes to the calendar it will adjust it
for their timezone

which isnt bad if thats all i can do for now
no real budget here

Hi. Scrybe has the functionality you're looking for-- it will
automatically adjust peoples' calendars to account for different time
zones. They are currently in Beta but claim to be launching this
month. (Hey, they still got a couple days. ;-)
