These are my PC specs:

Dell box, 2.8ghz dual core processor, 2gb ram, windows xp pro, 16x
DVD+/-RW drive, plenty of HD space

When I try burning a DVD ISO or an authored DVD movie, my drive takes
anywhere from 35-60 minutes to burn a single 4.7gb disc! I am using
16x speed Verbatim DVD-Rs and burning at max speed. The software I've
tried is Nero Ultimate 7 and Roxio Creator 8 Suite and both are
equally poor in burn time. What's wrong? FYI, I've tried burning with
all the memory-hog programs off, and it still takes forever, I just
don't get it.

Thanks!

I mean, I know that expecting 4700mb/(27mb/s X 60s) = 3.5 minutes
might be too good to be true, but it would be nice to get close...
