I am doing research for work and I need to convert dvd disc to avi
files or bmp files. I need the raw material(which means not
de-interlace and the original size.) I tried about 25 softwares in the
market. They all do something to the image even though they claim to
use non-deinterlacer in their setting. Please tell me what to do.
Thanks a lot. It could be a software tool or sourchcode.

Is DVDx among the tools you have already tried?

DVD Decryptor is pretty good to rip an ISO or VOB image from a DVD,
but from your question you may already have the .VOB file.

So, what you are asking for - here is dvd2avi:

http://www.divx-digest.com/software/dvd2avi.html

Also DGMPGDec is a similar tool:
http://www.videohelp.com/tools?tool=DGMPGDec

Then with the reverse if you want to re-meld these clips into a DVD
most DVD authoring tools will let you merge these back into a DVD.

<<I need to convert dvd disc to avi

avi is a movig picture and sound format. bmp is a picture format, ONLY
picture. what is is that you really want to do? It's not clear...
