I'm looking for replacement tires for my Passat wagon. I was happy
with the Michelin MXV4+ tires (well reviewed by consumer reports) but
would like to explore higher performance options (eg. Bridgetone
potenza RE050A's seem popular as OEMs on BMW, MazdaSpeed but did
poorly in Car & Driver tests). Seattle is VERY wet so wet performance
is important. We don't get a lot of snow. I'm willing to spend the
money to do this right. Lastly, decent tread life would be a plus. I
don't want to spend $500 on tires that last only 20K miles. Thanks.
