How many Internet sites provide music downloading as a feature?
How many of these are commefcial sites?
How many allow free music downloads?
How many of these sites specialize in independent music?

I have data from Pew and Ipsos-Reid on the proportiuon of Internet
users who download music online and the volume of downloads. An
estimate of the number of sites from which downloading is done would
be helpful. I am particularly interested in the sites that offer
independent music or specialize in it. I need a source for the
information.

There is probably no hard number for this. There is no directory to
consult, obviously. An intelligent approach to the problem would be
helpful. An approximation would do, if there is a citation for it.
