During a Windows XP installation, some very cool sounding Enya-like
music is played off the CD. Where can this song be found? I've
searched all mp3 and wav files on my computer and XP CD, but I can't
find it. If you don't know where the song can be found, does anyone
know the
artist and/or song name. I really want to find that song somehow.
Thanks!

Hi there,

A number of people have asked the same question in the newsgroups:

microsoft.public.windowsxp.general
alt.os.windows-xp
microsoft.public.windowsxp.music
alt.windows-xp

They all get this answer as the location of the tune:
C:\WINDOWS\system32\oobe\images\title.wma

Google Groups search strategy:

xp "installation music"
http://groups.google.com/groups?num=30&hl=en&lr=&ie=ISO-8859-1&newwindow=1&safe=off&q=xp+%22installation+music%22&sa=N&tab=wg

I'm going to have to upgrade to XP so I can hear it as well :)

Best wishes,
