I need a PERL program that repeatedly queries a website and then
collects data from those queries into a text or Excel file. I would
need specific instructions on how to adapt the program to a particular
website, as I wish to use it for several different exercises.
Therefore, I would need to know how to adapt the program to pick up
the sentence listed on line 14 of the website instead of line 16, for
example. I know a little basic PERL, and general programming, but the
instructions would need to be pretty simple for me.

The query would be to choose one element of a pull-down list, and then
click "go". The site's response might be multiple pages, so the
program should be able to click "next page" as well.

you can use lynx to convert html to txt, then everything will be easy
if you know per regex.

pick up
the sentence listed on line 14 of the website
