How can I prevent that the wireless network connection get broken off
when I use fast user switching in windows xp? It's really annoying and
prevents me from downloading things on both accounts simultaniously.

I'm using xp sp2, intel 3945abg wireless card on a HP NC6400 core duo.

could you please tell what windows services you currently have turned
off? (you can check this by executing 'services.msc')

Download the software from Intel for your wireless card at:

http://support.intel.com/support/wireless/wlan/sb/CS-010623.htm

Follow these instructions to install the Intel Wireless Client. The
Intel client is a good utility I've enjoyed for over a year now. To
configure it go to

Hi johanka-ga,

It could be a problem of the preferences of wireless networks with the
individual user. I'd affirm that both of the accounts have only one
wireless network (hopefully your home one ;)) as the preferred
network, and that both can connect individually.

Also if that does not work, I would recommend another network client
to override XP's.
